About the role

  • You will be the lead Senior Project Manager or Project Manager (depending on the experience of the successful candidate) on a variety of concurrent projects across varying sectors (such as hotels, commercial, industrial etc).
  • Your role will extend beyond Project Management responsibilities and include business development and leadership responsibilities.
  • You will have the ability to work autonomously to build on your already established client base and play a key role in the continued growth of Vertex Project Management.
  • You will be encouraged to maintain and grow your strong business network of construction and development contacts. 
  • As an important member of the team, you will have the opportunity to progress your career within the company and pursue areas of development that interest you.
  • You will work with and have oversight of one or more Assistant Project Managers as well as support staff. You will also work closely with senior management on projects and assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Working closely with clients and other stakeholders, you will build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships and continue to expand and develop your industry network.
  • You will be responsible for full life cycle project management including feasibility, project budgeting, engaging consultants, managing the design process, authority approval process, tendering to builders and contract negotiation, managing construction works.

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Construction Management or related area is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in client side project management.
  • Experience in the delivery of projects from inception to completion across multiple sectors will be considered beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including effective negotiation skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics.
  • Comfortable to assist in the start-up and delivery of projects across multiple sectors.
  • Existing client base and strong network of consultant and contractor relationships in NSW is advantageous.
  • A collaborative leader who seeks to work with the team, internally and externally.
  • Comfortable with pursuing business development opportunities and supporting our national growth.
