Our team of skilled client side project managers is led by Director, Aaron Lawrence. As a seasoned client side project manager with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Aaron has honed his ability to provide timely, accurate advice and guidance to ensure his client’s goals are achieved.
Aaron employs an energetic, passionate, adaptable and fresh-thinking approach to ensure that the projects that he manages are successful.
During his career, Aaron has gained extensive experience working with private and public clients ranging from small investors to major multinational organisations. He has worked in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and for clients based around the world.
James is a seasoned Senior Project Manager with over 20 years of experience in planning, development, and delivery of projects across various property sectors, including retail, industrial, residential, mixed-use, commercial, civil, and infrastructure.
Renowned for his ability to build and lead large project management teams, James has successfully delivered significant and landmark projects exceeding $500 million from ECI, through to contract negotiations, construction and completion.
James has particular experience in leading the early stages of projects from the initial brief through to due diligence, feasibility, funding and development approvals.
James is an industry leader with a meticulous focus on safety, quality, and ethical and sustainable supply chain management.
Heidi is an experienced leader, portfolio manager, program manager, project planner, client-side project manager, and architect with experience in both public and private sectors. With a background in architecture, Heidi has most recently held senior leadership positions delivering capital works portfolios at the University of Newcastle, City of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie City Council.
Heidi has managed and delivered a range of projects and programs, in various sectors, including the Newcastle Coastal Revitalisation Program, Blackbutt Reserve Improvement Program, sporting field redevelopments, remedial and urban infrastructure projects, seniors living developments, shopping centre developments and health facilities. She has demonstrated skills in feasibility studies, business case development, stakeholder management, consultant co-ordination, design management, and contract administration.
She is a member of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and the Australian Institute of Project Management and has completed various training courses and workshops in project management, leadership, cultural awareness, media skills, and political awareness. Heidi has post graduate qualifications in Portfolio and Program Management and completed the PMBOK Program Management course.
As a seasoned Senior Project Manager, Sam brings extensive expertise gained from collaborating with top-tier Property Advisory firms and ASX Listed Property Groups. His career has included pivotal roles in Development Management and Project Management, where he has consistently driven successful outcomes across diverse projects.
Sam's expertise spans the entire project life cycle, from initial stages of due diligence and acquisition, through pivotal milestones such as re-zoning or DA Approval, and onward to project delivery and handover phases.
As a Project Manager at Vertex Project Management, Shelley manages projects through every phase of the project life cycle, from initial planning and pre-construction to successful delivery and post-completion. Her approach ensures that each project is aligned with client objectives, using Vertex’s processes and procedures to drive both client satisfaction and project success.
Shelley brings a wealth of expertise in contract administration, financial oversight, and risk management. She provides project management services, including comprehensive cost reporting, payment certification, invoice approvals, and regulatory documentation for council approvals—covering Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, and Occupation Certificates.
Throughout her time with Vertex, Shelley has demonstrated her ability to deliver projects across numerous sectors. Her portfolio includes the fitout of Endeavour Energy’s new headquarters, the major refurbishment of the Mercure Cairns, and a range of projects for the University of Newcastle.
As an Assistant Project Manager, Dom is responsible for a broad range of tasks that ensure the seamless coordination and delivery of projects. He works closely with senior project managers to meet established deadlines, assists with project planning, scheduling, and implements effective project controls, including stringent cost management. His role also involves the preparation and management of essential project documentation and reports.
Dom has experience in managing construction projects from start to finish as a project manager and estimator, with a focus on commercial and residential building projects. He has strong skills in project estimation, quality assurance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
With a solid foundation in economics and finance, along with qualifications in construction management, Dom brings a unique blend of financial acumen and industry knowledge to the table, ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
Natalie Lawrence is our Business Development & Marketing Director at Vertex Project Management. You will find her working closely with the project managers to help grow the company, maintaining important client relationships and attracting new business from both existing and new clients.
She provides oversight of all business development and marketing activities from strategy to implementation. Additionally, her role includes a business management component of tracking financial performance, assisting with recruitment, liaising with external consultants, and working on improvements to our operations. Natalie also has a strong background in professional services and marketing in the legal, property and construction sectors.
During her career, Natalie has worked in professional services in both Australia and the UK. She has also been lucky enough to travel internationally for work through involvement in sponsorships and conferences in Europe and the USA.
