As Founder and Director of Vertex Project Management, Aaron has over 25 years’ experience in the property and construction industry and has played a central role in establishing and growing Vertex into a trusted client-side project management consultancy.
A seasoned client-side project manager, Aaron is known for providing clear, timely and commercially focused advice, working closely with clients to understand their objectives and guide projects towards successful outcomes.
Aaron brings an energetic, passionate and adaptable approach to project delivery, combining strategic thinking with extensive hands-on experience across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Throughout his career, Aaron has worked with a diverse range of private and public sector clients, from private investors through to major multinational organisations. His experience spans projects across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, as well as engagements for clients based around the world.
As a Director of Vertex, Aaron remains closely involved in the strategic direction of the business, key client relationships and the delivery of major projects.
James is a Director of Vertex Project Management and a highly experienced project leader with over 20 years’ experience in the planning, development and delivery of complex projects across the retail, industrial, residential, mixed-use, commercial, civil and infrastructure sectors.
Throughout his career, James has successfully led large multidisciplinary project teams and delivered significant and landmark projects valued at more than $500 million, from early contractor involvement and procurement through contract negotiations, construction and completion.
James has particular expertise in the early stages of project development, leading projects from the initial brief through due diligence, feasibility, funding, development approvals and procurement. His ability to combine strategic oversight with a strong understanding of project delivery enables him to identify risks early, establish clear project pathways and drive successful outcomes for clients.
As a Director of Vertex, James plays a key role in the leadership and continued growth of the business, while remaining closely involved in the delivery of major projects and client relationships. James is recognised for his strong leadership and meticulous focus on safety, quality, commercial outcomes, and ethical and sustainable supply chain management.
As a Project Manager at Vertex Project Management, Shelley manages projects through every phase of the project life cycle, from initial planning and pre-construction to successful delivery and post-completion. Her approach ensures that each project is aligned with client objectives, using Vertex’s processes and procedures to drive both client satisfaction and project success.
Shelley brings a wealth of expertise in contract administration, financial oversight, and risk management. She provides project management services, including comprehensive cost reporting, payment certification, invoice approvals, and regulatory documentation for council approvals—covering Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, and Occupation Certificates.
Throughout her time with Vertex, Shelley has demonstrated her ability to deliver projects across numerous sectors. Her portfolio includes the fitout of Endeavour Energy’s new headquarters, the major refurbishment of the Mercure Cairns, and a range of projects for the University of Newcastle.
Tim is an experienced Project Manager with over a decade of experience delivering civil and building projects across Australia in both client‑side and contractor‑side roles.
With strong end‑to‑end delivery capability, Tim manages projects through procurement, contract administration, construction delivery, and project completion, bringing a practical and commercially focused approach to project delivery.
Tim has particular experience working within live construction environments and complex settings, with a strong understanding of buildability, risk management, cost and program control, and stakeholder coordination. Known for his calm and solutions‑focused approach, Tim is committed to delivering high‑quality outcomes through collaborative teamwork, strong commercial discipline, and a clear focus on client objectives.
As a Project Manager at Vertex Project Management, Cameron is responsible for managing projects across all phases of the project life cycle, from pre-construction through to delivery and post-completion. He works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in line with client objectives and Vertex's established processes.
Cameron brings experience across construction delivery, cost management, and project coordination, with a background spanning civil construction, local government infrastructure, and residential development. He manages project teams through design coordination, procurement, cost control, contract administration, and construction-phase delivery, providing clear communication, strong governance, and proactive project management throughout each stage.
Known for his structured approach, attention to detail, and collaborative communication style, Cameron builds strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders while maintaining a focus on achieving successful project outcomes. He holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and a Certificate III in Civil Construction and is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes that add value for Vertex clients.
Natalie Lawrence is the General Manager at Vertex Project Management. Working closely with the leadership team, she plays a key role in the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the business, ensuring Vertex continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for both clients and staff.
Natalie oversees the company's business operations, including business development and marketing, financial performance, human resources, systems and processes, and organisational strategy. She is responsible for driving business growth, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting operational excellence, and implementing initiatives that enhance the performance and long-term success of the business.
With a strong background in professional services and marketing across the legal, property and construction sectors, Natalie brings a commercial and strategic perspective to the leadership team. During her career, she has worked in professional services in both Australia and the UK and has travelled internationally through involvement in industry conferences and sponsorships across Europe and the USA.
